The President’s Report for 2024 from President Caroline Gross is now available to view online.
Contained within are details of all of the significant projects which have been undertaken in collaboration with our partner organisations this year, including:
- Organising and holding the 14th Australasian Plant Conference in Toowoomba
- The formal launch and first full year of the Queensland Threatened Plant Network
- Continuing the Preventing extinction of Victoria’s threatened flora project
- Jointly coordinating the popular Myrtle Rust for Practitioners webinar series
- Wrapping up the extension to the Safe Custody for Native Guava Project
- Undertaking a new Recovery Action Coordination for High Priority Myrtle Rust Affected Species project with support from the Commonwealth, under Project Manager Philippa Walsh
- Continuing to publish excellent content for our Australasian Plant Conservation readership under the guidance of new editor Alyssa Weinstein

Caroline has also highlighted the important work carried out by our project managers Paul Donatiu and Chantelle Doyle over the past year, along with Outreach Delegate Bob Makinson, as well as office staff Jo Lynch, Richie Southerton and volunteer Robert Hawes. She also took the opportunity to thank the members of our committee who are finishing their terms.
